Deterring and Detecting Fraud in the Workplace
Presenters: Ginger Knutsen, CPA/ABV/CFF, CFE and Ryan Stretmater, CPA/CFF, CFE, MBA
Description: A recent study by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) showed that a majority of respondents have seen, and/or expect to see, a dramatic increase in occupational fraud due to economic conditions caused by the global Coronavirus pandemic.
What does this mean for you and your business? Our Forensic Accounting and Valuation Services team at SDK has decades of experience uncovering occupational fraud and will be hosting a webinar to show you some of the major lessons learned during their careers. In this session, they will review some of the red flags to look for within your business, what is known as the “Fraud Triangle” that can lead employees to engage in fraud, and some examples of occupational fraud they have uncovered through the years.
