Frequently Asked Questions

For your convenience, we’ve gathered together a list of commonly asked questions, directions to our office and information about our administrative team. If you do not find your question here, please give us a call.

Where is your office located?
On which floor is your office?

We are on the 16th floor.

What are your office hours?

Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Firm holidays include New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the day after Thanksgiving, and Christmas. If a holiday falls on a weekend day, the office will typically be closed the Monday following the holiday. We also close the office on the day after April tax deadline – typically April 16.

Where is the best place to park when I visit your office?

Parking is provided in the lot behind our building. Enter the lot by turning onto either Marquette or 2nd Avenue followed by a quick turn onto 2nd street. The entrance to the lot is off of 2nd street. Please be sure to bring your ticket to the receptionist for validation.

How far is the airport from your office?

Depending on traffic conditions, plan on a 20 to 30 minute drive from the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport to our Minneapolis office.

What hotel accommodations are near your office?

The closest hotel to our office is The Courtyard by Marriott (or commonly referred to locally as The Depot) located at 225 Third Avenue South, Minneapolis, Minnesota. They can be reached at (612) 375-1700.

Does your firm contribute to nonprofit organizations? Who should I contact?

Our firm does contribute to various nonprofit organizations as we are very community minded. One of our stated values is, in fact, to serve our community and support our people to make a difference in the world. Many of our clients are nonprofit organizations and will contact an SDK team member with their request. Who is in charge of technology matters?

If you have any questions or issues regarding SDK technology, please email info@sdkcpa.com or call our main line at 612.332.5500 and you will be directed to our internal technology department.

I’m having trouble sending emails, and/or faxes – who should I call?

Our firm uses many precautions to protect the confidential information of our clients and therefore has high security settings when it comes to email. If you are having any trouble contacting the office via email or fax, please email info@sdkcpa.com or call our main line at 612.332.5500 and you will be directed to our internal technology department.

Who do I call for information on seminars?
