Is your version of QuickBooks older than your children? If the answer to this question is YES, it is time to upgrade your QuickBooks software to the latest version. Below are several important reasons to upgrade.

Reasons to Upgrade

Any versions over three years old are not supported anymore. If your software crashes or encounters problems, you will not be able to get support.
The newest version is going to have the latest improvements to the program, including more functionality and options for transactions and reporting.
Files from older versions of software take more time for your accountant to restore, as they use the latest versions.
Technology changes so quickly. Sometimes newer versions of one software may not be compatible with older versions of another software causing additional time and effort to help them work together.

These tips are true for any software and not just QuickBooks users. The cost to upgrade to the latest version of software will outweigh the risk of your software crashing and having no support available to help with data recovery because you are running a version from 1999.
